There's no doubt about it - weddings are a serious business. But if you're working with Eva, they'll also be loads of fun. A self confessed romance junkie, she specialises in weddings simply because she loves them. The results speak for themselves.
Just about everyone who starts out warning Eva that they hate having their photo taken ends up admitting it was one of the highlights of the day.
That's because Eva takes the time to get to know her clients, so that when the big day finally arrives, everyone is relaxed and knows what to expect.

With a documentary style Eva's images tell stories in a candid and natural way. From the frantic last minute preparations at the bride's residence right through to the intimacy of your first dance as Husband and Wife, she will be there in the background quietly making history. She knows that sometimes it's the small, unexpected moments you will look back on and treasure most.

The story proper begins with the bride arriving at the ceremony and, of course her nervous future husband waiting on shaky legs.
Standing unobtrusively at the back of the congregation, Eva records the important part of your day with a long lens - there's nothing worse than saying your " I do's " with a flash going off in your face!
Afterwards, family photographs are usually taken before the wedding party leaves with Eva to shoot the formal portraits - but don't panic - the 'formalities' usually involve plenty of champagne and laughter. These are shot over about an hour and a half at locations chosen together by you and Eva. In Hawkes Bay we are spoilt for choice and often the very best place to shoot will be at the reception venue itself.

Eva usually wraps up a shoot by photographing your guests seated at the reception and a mock cake cutting. Of course if you want her to stay and capture the inevitable results of a wine country wedding as they unfold on the dance floor later on, well... that's entirely up to you!

Importantly, Eva shoots with the latest digital technology, which means great photographs can be made even better during post-production and there is no time wasted changing films or switching to black and white.
The digital files (or negatives) are available for you to keep and highlights will be up online the very next day - a little taste of what's to come the following week.
It's about making things as easy as possible. After all.... one moment, once, forever. Make it count. |
