I have to be honest and say when Cam and Amanda first told me they were getting married in Hunterville my first reaction (after thinking 'where the heck is that?') was 'why?'. But from the moment we arrived, it became beautifully obvious.Cam's family home is 'The Vicarage', a gorgeous historic cottage behind the chocolate-box-cute Hunterville parish church. Dad still lives there...and Grandma lives next door. The honeypots on the wedding tables were filled by the hard work of Cam's grandies...and their bees.Amanda got ready at what was once the town's post office. It was about as home-grown as a Kiwi wedding could possibly get. Even though it rained for much of the day, not a drop fell when we didn't want it to, and the freezing cold conditions at the top of Mt Ruapehu just made the warm fire waiting at the Powderhorn reception all the more cozy.
