Newborn Family Portrait Photography Session - Baby Arthur

If you are pregnant and having a baby, even if you already have a toddler at home, investing in family portrait photography with Hawkes Bay Newborn Photographer Eva Bradley is a beautiful treat for yourself

What a treat to get to visit Caitlin and Alexander again, a couple of years after documenting their first crazy and cool adventure into parenting with first-born, Ellery. She’s now the proud big sister to Arthur, who just happened to be born during my favourite season, meaning of course we had to rug up warm and get amongst the beautiful colours scattered over their lawn, as well as just chilling out inside.

As a Hawke’s Bay newborn photographer, my goal is always to tell the real story of life at home with a new baby. Things never go according to script, especially when you have a toddler thrown into the mix. Frankly, it’s a time of life you look back at and wonder how the heck you survived. But you also remember it as the most magical time, and professional photographs of your newborn baby when it first joins your become a little family treasure that gets more and more valuable as the years go by.

I spent a couple of hours with Arthur and his family, who live in Waipukurau in Central Hawke’s Bay. Taking my time and being at their home meant there was no pressure on Mum and Dad to get the kids doing exactly what we needed because, let’s be honest, who has ever got a kid of any age to do exactly what you needed?

A huge big thanks to Caitlin and Alexander for allowing me to share these precious moments.

If you’re thinking about a newborn photography session with me, it’s a good idea to pencil it into my diary while you are still pregnant - especially during a busy Hawke’s Bay wedding season! Then when your baby arrives and you’ve had a few days to get your head around that (!!) we can make a date - ideally in the first 1-3 weeks before your baby ‘wakes up’.
