Kick your shoes off, get comfy with the camera and be yourself...together. Engagement photos give you a special opportunity to create the first bit of family art without the huge emotional and time pressures of a wedding day. There's no best man wolf whistling when you give each other a sneaky kiss for the camera, 100 people aren't waiting for you to be done with your photos so they can eat dinner. We don't have to worry about getting a precious white dress dirty and we can pick the place, the time and...most importantly...the light.
This is your chance as a couple to create a little history in Hawke’s Bay (maybe even to plan a surprise proposal with me hiding nearby with a zoom lens?) and to build a rapport with me so that on your wedding day you know how to be together in front of a camera, and also feel confident that the images are going to look awesome.
Even if we aren't shooting your wedding day, or you haven’t even talked about having one yet, a session like this is a must-have for all couples who really dig each other.
ENGAGEMENT or PROPOSAL SESSION - $995
-1-hour session at a beautiful Hawke’s Bay location near Napier or Hastings (ideally sunrises or sunset).
-A private online gallery with approximately 65 high resolution images to download.

I’ve photographed surprise proposals all over Hawke’s Bay and am a master of deception - I’ve pulled off epic candid proposal photography by posing as a gardener, a tourist and even dressing up as a vineyard worker (complete with secateurs!). Where possible I’ll set up a discrete video of the moment as well, then the three of us will ride the emotional wave of the big, fat YES you’ve just got and shoot some moments that I guarantee will remain the highlights of your life. I’ll even make sure I sprint right back to the edit suite so by the time you’re done with your romantic dinner, you have some professional sneak peeks to share with your people. Engagement sessions are only available on weekdays (plan something romantic for a Friday night!), and are scheduled close to sunset for optimal light.
*Travel within 25kms of Napier & Hastings is included. Travel to more distant parts of Hawke’s Bay may include a mileage surcharge. Please enquire.
