Wee Evie - One week old and chilling out at home.

They say never work with children and animals but I have to say that (even though it’s challenging) I totally disagree. Some of my all-time favourite photos have involved children AND animals, and this first photo of Evie with Chopper is up there with them. I

Studio-side with Abi & Ethan

The last time I had Abi and Ethan in front of my lens, they were half the size they are now. We got some lovely, playful images of them in the late afternoon sun down by the river. But lately, I've really been enjoying shooting pre-teens in the simple setting of the studio, exploring personalities without the distraction of pretty backgrounds. The Stafford Family / Hawke's Bay family photographers

When Hannah and I first spoke about a family photography session, she suggested her husband's work as a great location for us to mix it all up. Now as much as I'm always keen to anchor my Hawkes Bay portrait photography in locations that mean something to my families, the workplace isn't normally top of my list. Except Matt just happens to be a winemaker at one of the most beautiful locations in Hawkes Bay...Craggy Range
